There are 10 community midwifery teams across NHS Lothian providing the full range of midwifery care and parent education within patient’s homes and community clinics or bases. Midwives are supported and participate in homebirth provision.
All midwifery staff throughout NHS Lothian have additional support available from our clinical educators who work alongside midwives within their clinical area to assist with their development and gaining clinical skills, confidence and competencies.
