“I have been working at Simpson’s for over 15 years. When I finished my training I didn’t have a particular area in mind, I worked as an agency nurse in the neonatal unit and enjoyed the challenge and the atmosphere. When it came to getting a full time job this is where I applied.
“It’s a challenging role but one that I really enjoy.
“NHS Lothian is very supportive. I am looking to advance my career as a nurse by becoming an advanced nurse practitioner and they are very keen to support me in that role.
“I grew up around Edinburgh and I enjoy outdoor life, we spend a lot of time out in the hills and we swim at the local beaches – so for me, it’s the outdoor opportunities in Lothian.”
